Big Spot Cat

Big Spot Cat

I have always loved cats. I was always taking orphans in to bottle feed. My husband told me I needed to find a pure breed and start a cattery. I heard of the Bengal cats around 1996. My best friend and I started researching the breed for several years.

My husband retired in the year 2000 so we moved back to Washington County, Tn. My best friend who lives in Blount County, Tn saw an ad in the Knoxville, Tn news paper for Bengal cats right here in Jonesboro, Tn! She and I decided together that I would buy a Bengal kitten for her girls. That is how I got Alex.

Alex, the bengal cat

It took me five years to find Alex. I made the trip with Alex in tow to Blount County to give my God-daughters their new kitty. They had Alex for about two weeks. My best friend and her family love cats but they only like quiet lap cats, seen but not heard. Alex would race down their hall, run up their bodies, and land on their shoulders. He was anything but quiet. It shocked them to see how active he was.

Needless to say, I had to make the trip back to Blount County for Alex. Once I got Alex back, both my husband and best friend, Kim told me it was time to find more Bengals to start my cattery.

My best friend and I headed to Florida to pick up six Bengals. The rest is history. We have been all over buying and delivering Bengals.
